Going to the Zoo

Today we decided to do something fun (since it IS Spring Break). My friend from church and her kids, me, and our kids all headed to the Tulsa Zoo. WOW was it crazy!!! I have never seen it so busy! Of course it was an 80 degree day in March, during spring break, AND family passes were discounted. That explains it. They even had camel rides (which Samren did NOT choose to partake in).

It was a really fun day. After about 3.5 hours the little ones were losing it and we called it a day. Tonight the fun continues as my friend's girls are spending the night. Party at the Gillispie house! At this moment the girls are playing Wii Sing It (any 6-9 year old girl's dream karioke dream game) and I am drowning in Disney teeny-bopper music!

All day long I kept thinking/day dreaming of when #4 is home to add to the chaos!

Sammy is a WISE child! Camels scare the snot out of me and Mary is Terrified of them too. Looks like you had a great family day!

Looks like a great time! We are camping our way to TX April/May timeframe and spending a day in Tulsa. We were thinking of the Air and Space Museum, have you ever been? Is there enough interactive stuff for a 4 year old boy who loves avions?

Jodie, we took our kiddos to the A&S Museum when Samren was about the age of your son and he LOVED it. Samren is 7 now and still talks about when we went there. I didn't think it was too great, but he did. ;-) They also have the planetarium there, which was a pretty neat show. The A&S Museum is also very close to the zoo. You could probably hit both in your one day in Tulsa, if you wanted to.
