A Little Help for Mary

[Yes, I am full of blog posted tonight. This is what happens when I don't blog for most of the week. There is a backlog in my brain that MUST be posted!]

There is a wonderful little company that has taken an interested in providing a grant for some special waiting children in Ghana. FROM DIAPERS TO DORMS is a new "mom and pop" site that sells new and used books! They've got a wide variety to choose from for your kids--from newborn to adult!

FDTD has decided to donate a portion of their profits into a grant fund for the child in the AAI Ghana program who has waited the longest for an adoptive family. Mary is a 12 year old little girl who has seen generations of her homemates come and go, come and go, come and go. She has watched as dozens of children have been united with adoptive families. Still Mary waits.

This is a win-win situation! Buy some great books for your family, and help a deserving little girl be united with her adoptive family! All of the funds collected will go directly to offset Mary's adoption fees. Please inquire with Angela at FDTD to see if you can also donate directly to the fund. I have a feeling she would be willing. =-)

Isn't it nice when the little guy does what they can to support waiting children? We all know this is probably not going to be a fund that gives thousands of dollars. But it really is the thought and intent that counts. Generosity is contagious! Big kudos to this little business for doing what they can.

Hi Anita,

I was in contact with Angela and she has created a "chip in" button on her blog for Mary. http://fromdiaperstodormsblog.blogspot.com/ So, anyone wishing to donate can do so that way! :)

Love you and glad Miss Kendi is better!

Thanks for the kind words Anita and for all you do for these children. We are praying that we are able to help remove the financial barriers for Mary's family! We're brainstorming like crazy and are trying as hard as we can! Thanks again. -Angela

PS- Amy is right. We do have a Chip-In button now so folks can contribute more if desired.
