Awesome Jewelry for Mother's Day or anytime!

I've been meaning for weeks to share with you about my friend Mandie's amazing jewelry! Seriously, this will speak to your Ghana/Africa mommy heart! [If you've got kids from other places she might be able to do something related to your country.] I'm hoping that some kind dad and kids will bless me with one of these for Mother's Day (not that Eric ever reads my blog)!

Mandie (Social Bug) is making jewelry that is stamped with Adinkra Symbols with added Ghanaian krobo beads or other embellishments. Adinkra Symbols have very cool meanings. A while back I chose an Adinkra Symbol to represent our family and each of the people within our family. Sometimes orphanages in Ghana use Adinkra Symbols to name the home (Eban House, Nyame Dua, etc.). Even if you don't have a tie to Ghana, the symbols are just cool! If I ever get a tattoo, it will be of an adinkra symbol, sort of like some people get Chinese characters.
