I Heart Faces--Hats

This week it's all about hats over at I Heart Faces. If you haven't taken part in the fun yet, you really should! I realized today that many of my very favorite pics over the years are hat pics. I'm going to do another hat pic post later just for fun!

For the kids entry I'm putting in this photo of Samren--Christmas Eve 2003. 2003 was an incredibly difficult year for our (then) sick little boy. He was only "eating" formula through a g-tube at that point, but boy were we happy to see him so chunky and healthy-looking at Christmas!
For the adult entry I knew immediately what I'd enter. No way will it win, but I still love this picture of Eric in a goofy hat, holding Taevy in Cambodia.

I Heart Faces--Adult "Self Portrait"

I decided to put an adult entry in this week, just for fun. http://www.iheartfaces.com/. The rules were that you had to take a picture of yourself and you had to be holding the camera. This is what I came up with.

I Heart Faces--"Self Portrait"

This week's theme on http://www.iheartfaces.com/ is "Self Portrait." For the Kids catagory it has to be a photo of you and your child, taken by you.

I took this photo of Bright and I before he came home from Ghana. We had matching outfits for church. Since I was in Ghana by myself with him, it was self portraits, or there would be no pics of the two of us together! I think this is still my favorite photo of Bright and I, even 2 years later.

I Heart Faces--Eyes

This week I'm entering into the I Heart Faces photo contest. It's just for fun. A way to show off some of your favorite photos! This week the catagory is "Eyes".

My kid entry: I love this photo of Bright on his 3rd Birthday. His eyes are so clear and innocent-looking. He seems to not have a care in the world in this photo!
My adult entry: This is a man whose eyes, to me, show a whole lifetime. The photo was taken in the Upper West Region of Ghana, West Africa. This man is actually the father of an infant--at over 70 years old! His eyes say "hard work," "long-suffering," and "kindness."
My pet entry (Anything goes): This photo cracks me up! We made a nice comfy bed for our new puppy, and then our kitty promptly took over the spot for herself. It was days before our dog actually got to sleep on her own bed! You can enter your photo at I Heart Faces too. Have fun!
